Braden Keil, NYPost points out prices for farms, here on the East End in todays Gimme Shelter . There’s also news about Howard Sterns new house in there.
Buy the farm
Even with land-conservation measures in place, farms in the Hamptons are becoming a rare and expensive cash crop.
At last check, more than 20 tracts of farmland are listed for prices ranging from $5 million for a sub-dividable 14-acre property north of the highway to a $64 million non-oceanfront 40-acre spread in Sagaponack that comes pre-approved for eight buildable lots.
In terms of oceanfront property, an 18-acre farm is listed for $45 million.
Which brings me to THIS farm – 6 acres – subdividable - offered at $1,695,000.
One of those offerings that you can’t believe is still around.
